💧 Overview

Cheat Fest is one of the best festivals in the Northeast Festival Circuit. My favorite part is the number of incredible runs to choose from. Note this festival is about half kayakers and other half of people are locals and music lovers. Total people wise, this is the largest total people. Gauley fest will still have the most boaters by a mile!

Access roads are on the rugged and steep side. I would avoid low-clearance sedans and if it rains you will need tires with good traction. You don't want to be the one that stalls everyone else on the winding roads.

⛺️ Where to stay

There are two distinct options. Option 1 is in the heart of the festival itself. This is some really high-energy camping and ideal for colliding with new people. The other option is a short walk away at Cheat Canyon campgrounds (they have showers and toilets). While not near a wild, I was very happy to have earplugs. See the Google map.

🤳 Phone Service

Spoty. Internet can be very slow with so many people using it at the same time.
