The biggest whitewater party in the world. More importantly it is Gauley Fest where you catch up with your paddling friends from all over the East coast and beyond. There are options for whitewater as well. The biggest gripe can be the over crowding of the river. From my experience the most danger is the crowded eddies as it can be very hard for rescue situations when eddies are packed with rafts, i.e. floating strainers.
Water release schedule:
Stay at the main event at Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park
Service is great for the most part. I believe I remember the New having spotty service.
